Scott has been in the industry for 28 years starting as an independent, selling loose diamonds on the side, He went to school to become an RN but quickly realized he liked doing his own thing.

Scott has owned Ari’s since 1994. When he bought the business, he had two little boys that counted on him. This became his motivation to build a great business and a legacy for them.

It has truly become a family business because Scott’s son, Torie, works for him, as well as his father, Milo, and his brother Mikey.

Our business is growing and we have recently opened Link Custom Jewelers in order to bring a retail shop to our customers. 

Scott’s passion lies in the Fabrication and Manufacturing of jewelry. In 1989, he originally started at Ari Diamonds working in sales. The goldsmith would give him little projects to do and he fell in love with it.

Scott does custom designs for customers all across the United States. He uses the latest and greatest technology and that gives him the ability to produce your piece of jewelry the way YOU want it.

When he is not creating amazing custom jewelry, Scott is a foodie and enjoys trying dishes from all different cultures. He loves to cook; and his favorite dish to make is “Chicken Tikka Masala”. He is also into all kinds of sports, golf mainly. He loves hanging out with his friends, watching a game, or playing poker.

Torie is 2nd born son of Scott Nimori. He has grown up in the jewelry industry. He started working for his dad on and off for about 7 years until he decided to be part of the family business. He loves working with his family and is excited that they recently opened up another store.

Torie has been learning how to design on CAD and casting jewelry. He enjoys seeing customers come in to see their finished pieces and they are happy with the results.

Besides CAD design, I try to help my Dad keep organized and on time for all the customers that come in and need help, which is a full-time job.

Torie is an avid PC gamer and mostly plays the MMO Final Fantasy 14. Torie’s dream is to start designing custom jewelry pieces around video games.

Chris grew up in an artisan family, being heavily influenced by his sculptor father. He has developed his own style along the way, which you will notice on Ari’s hand engraved pieces.

Chris has been a jeweler since 2012. His schooling started with North Bennet street school, the oldest trade school in the U.S, located in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed the renowned jewelry making and repair program and graduated top of his class.

Chris met his wife while in school and they have a family of four now, which has become such a blessing in their lives. His wife originates from the Portland area, which prompted their move to the wonderful state of Oregon. His wife’s family did their Jewelry business with Ari Diamonds and when Scott saw Chris’ credentials and ability, he hired him on the spot.

Here at Ari Diamonds, Chris has the freedom to explore his artistry as well as time to be a husband and a father. He thinks it is such a great place to work and is very happy to be part of the Ari Diamonds family. Plus he gets to help make some of the nicest jewelry pieces you can ever imagine.

Mikey Nimori

Milo started as a salesperson for Ari Diamonds in 1989. After finishing college with a major in business, he became the accountant for the company. Milo enjoys working with customers in designing jewelry unique to them and has learned to work with waxes and resins, as well as learned everything about casting jewelry

Milo loves living in the Portland area. He can be found outdoors either kayaking, biking, backpacking or hiking. Or, attending one of the many ethnic celebrations, The Greek Festival, Japan’s Obon Festival, Swiss Days and Octoberfest in Mt. Angel are a few of his favorites.

Milo is an avid athlete and he plays soccer, tennis, volleyball and softball. He is strong in his religion and loves doing things with his family, whether it is trying some new restaurant or karaoke or attending a concert. He enjoys reading books. He has recently taken up writing and looking forward to where his imagination takes him through his stories.

Customer Service

Milo is the oldest man working in the store. He has been in the jewelry business for 30+ years. Before that he was a computer programmer for 50+ years and the military for 3+ years.

Milo works with customers in the store, makes consultation appointments, manning the store when customers need extra hours, and expediting priority jobs.

Milo enjoys working with his sons and grandson in the store. When he’s not in the store, he loves spending time with his daughter and grandchildren and he likes to read, exercise, and watch TV.
